‘Navigating Troubled Waters: Science and Coastal Management’

Her first book, Against the Tide: The Battle for America’s Beaches, was published in 1999 by Columbia University Press and was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year.
She has since published Am I Making Myself Clear?: A Scientist’s Guide to Talking to the Public, and most recently, has focused on the misuse of scientific information in American public life.
As writer-in-residence at Brown University, current science writer and former science editor at The New York Times, we are excited to hear Cornelia’s voice as we consider our own coastal management options in Quogue.
